Etihad Airways is expanding its service between Abu Dhabi and Paris Charles de Gaulle to three flights a day from 1 July 2026, with two of the daily rotations operated by the Airbus A380 superjumbo.

More capacity for summer

The two A380 services will depart Zayed International Airport at morning and afternoon times aimed at both business and leisure travellers, complemented by a third daily Boeing 787-9 flight. The expanded schedule runs through to 24 October 2026, covering the peak northern-summer travel season when demand between the Gulf and Europe is at its highest.

Tripling frequency on a single European route is a significant capacity commitment, and reflects Paris's status as one of Etihad's strongest long-haul markets for both point-to-point traffic and connections beyond Abu Dhabi.

Premium cabins and hub strategy

Etihad's A380 carries the airline's most exclusive products, including The Residence — a three-room suite with a private butler — and the First Apartments, alongside Business and Economy cabins. Deploying two superjumbos a day puts a large volume of premium seats into the market.

The move is part of a wider growth push under which Etihad has been rebuilding and expanding its network from its Abu Dhabi hub, reintroducing the A380 on high-demand routes and announcing a string of new destinations across Europe, Central Asia and Africa. By concentrating capacity on Zayed International Airport and feeding traffic through it, the airline aims to strengthen Abu Dhabi's position as a connecting point between Europe, Asia and beyond. For the emirate, more flights and more premium seats translate into greater inbound tourism and business travel — a core goal of its aviation and visitor-economy strategy.
