1. Independence
AbuDhabi.News operates independently of any government department, ministry, sovereign-wealth fund, or commercial partner. No external party has approval rights over our newsroom’s editorial decisions.
2. Accuracy
Every published claim should be verifiable. We attribute facts to named sources where possible. When sources require anonymity, we explain why and corroborate with at least one second source.
3. Sources
We name sources by default. Anonymity is granted only when:
- The information is in the public interest.
- The source faces a credible risk if named.
- We have corroborated the claim independently.
4. Attribution and quotation
Quotes are exact. We may lightly edit for clarity but never to change meaning. We credit other publications when we lift their reporting and link out where the original lives.
5. AI tools
We use AI tools to assist with research, transcription, and summarization. Every published word is reviewed by a human editor. AI-generated summaries on article pages are clearly labelled as such.
6. Conflicts of interest
Reporters disclose any personal, financial, or family relationship that could affect coverage. Where conflicts exist, we either reassign the story or include a transparent note.
7. Editorial / commercial separation
Sponsored content, native ads, and paid partnerships are clearly labelled. They never appear in news listings or search results without that label.
8. Right of reply
Before publishing critical reporting, we offer the subject a meaningful opportunity to respond. If a response arrives after publication, we update the piece and timestamp the change.
9. Updates and corrections
See our corrections policy.
