Turkish Airlines has restarted its Abu Dhabi service as of July 1, giving weekend travellers a fresh option to fly between Istanbul and the Emirate. The airline says the move is part of a broader effort to rebuild its Middle East network after a temporary suspension.
New Abu Dhabi flight schedule
Two daily flights now connect Istanbul and Abu Dhabi. Flight TK 868 lifts off from Istanbul at 6:45 pm and touches down in Abu Dhabi at 12:25 am, while the return leg, TK 869, leaves Abu Dhabi at 1:30 pm and arrives back in Istanbul at 5:25 pm. The timing works well for a Friday‑night arrival or a Saturday‑morning departure, making it easy to fit a short getaway into a busy weekend.
In addition to the Abu Dhabi route, Turkish Airlines has doubled its Dubai frequency, moving from seven to fourteen flights each week. The carrier also raised its Amman service from fourteen to twenty‑one weekly flights and its Beirut service from twenty‑one to twenty‑eight, signalling a broader push to reconnect the Gulf and Levant markets.
Middle East destinations back on the map
Flights to Dammam in Saudi Arabia will begin on July 10. The schedule lists TK 150 departing Istanbul at 8:15 pm and arriving in Dammam at 12:15 am, with the return leg TK 151 leaving Dammam at 1:15 am and landing in Istanbul at 5:30 am. Those timings give travelers a convenient late‑night option to explore the Eastern Province.
Kuwait City joins the rollout on July 11. Flight TK 770 heads out of Istanbul at 2:00 am, reaching Kuwait at 5:40 am, while TK 771 departs Kuwait at 6:35 am and lands in Istanbul at 10:25 am. The early‑morning slots are ideal for business trips or a quick beach escape on the Persian Gulf.
