A Selena reunion
Olmos played Abraham Quintanilla, the father of Lopez's title character, in the 1997 biographical drama Selena, the film that helped vault Lopez into global stardom and earned her a Golden Globe nomination. In Office Romance, Olmos portrays Jack Cruz, father of Lopez's character Jackie Cruz. Speaking with reporters at the premiere, Olmos described the reunion as "very emotional," highlighting what he called a "strong understanding of decades, watching our own growth and watching each other's growth," per TV Insider.
