IU has called off her September concert.
South Korean singer‑songwriter Lee Ji-eun, known as IU, announced on July 20 that the show scheduled for September at Goyang Stadium will not take place. She shared the news on the platform Berriz, apologising to fans and explaining that a worsening ear condition forced the decision.
Concert cancellation and health update
IU described her condition as chronic Patulous Eustachian tube dysfunction, saying the symptoms have become persistent day and night. “My ear symptoms have always been erratic, fluctuating between good and bad, but recently, they have persisted day and night for days at a time, and I have repeatedly found it difficult to regain my form while singing,” she wrote.

The singer said the health issue made it impossible to deliver the performance she expects from herself, prompting her to cancel not only the Goyang Stadium concert but also an upcoming domestic tour. Fans were told the decision was taken after careful consideration of her wellbeing.
Goyang Stadium, a venue that can hold tens of thousands, was set to host IU’s first major solo concert in South Korea since her debut. The cancellation marks a rare pause in her busy performance schedule.

Album delay and future plans
IU’s sixth studio album, already completed, will now be released several months later than planned. The original promotional schedule was built around the concert and tour, so the postponement aligns the album launch with a healthier period for the artist.
