The Hoxton is set to open in Dubai Media City. It will transform an existing Select Group property into a 230‑room hotel that blends neighbourhood‑inspired design with vibrant social spaces. The brand promises a welcoming lobby, a rooftop bar and a wellness concept that aims to serve both guests and local residents.
Design and Wellness Offerings
Enniskore’s interior design team, AIME Studios, will lead a multi‑million dirham makeover of the Media City building. The redesign focuses on community‑driven hospitality, with open‑plan lobby areas that echo the brand’s London roots. A dedicated wellness zone will be a first for Hoxton, featuring a large gym floor, movement studios, spa treatment rooms, contrast‑therapy pools and a members lounge. All facilities are intended to feel like a residential club, encouraging guests to stay active and relax in equal measure.
The wellness space is positioned as a social hub, offering inclusive fitness programmes and wellbeing events. Guests can move between the gym, studios and lounge without leaving the hotel, creating a seamless experience that blends leisure with daily routine. The design aims to reflect the brand’s signature residential style while catering to Dubai’s growing creative community.
Dining and Social Spaces
The rooftop bar, Tope, will join its sister venues in Barcelona, Brussels and Portland, providing a familiar hangout for fans of the brand. Below, two brand‑new culinary concepts will debut. Onka, a Japanese hand‑roll bar, is created in collaboration with award‑winning restaurateur Moïse Sfez, promising fresh, bite‑size flavors for quick bites or relaxed meals. Adjacent, Il Bambini Club, an Italian trattoria managed by the Enniskore‑owned Paris Society, will serve lively, family‑friendly dishes.
Both eateries are designed to complement the hotel’s social lobby, offering spaces where locals and visitors can mingle over food and drinks. The mix of Japanese and Italian flavors adds a multicultural edge to the property, aligning with Dubai Media City’s reputation as a creative hub.
Brand Legacy and Community Role
The Hoxton began in London’s Shoreditch district some 25 years ago and now operates 19 hotels across cities such as Rome, Brussels, Chicago, Dublin and Edinburgh. Its reputation for neighbourhood vibe and social lobby spaces has made it a favourite among travellers seeking a lively yet homely stay. The Dubai Media City location will serve as both an incubator and a spotlight for the emirate’s growing creative community.
While a specific opening timeline was not disclosed, the project signals a major addition to the hospitality landscape of Dubai Media City. By blending design, wellness, dining and community focus, the Hoxton aims to offer a weekend plan that feels both relaxed and exciting for anyone looking to explore the area.
