Lebanese actress Nadine Nassib Njeim and Tunisian actor Dhafer L'Abidine are starring together for the first time in Momken, a Cedars Art Production drama developed for MBC's Shahid streaming platform. The series, sometimes rendered in English-language coverage as Possible, is produced by the company widely known as Sabbah Brothers and directed by Lebanese filmmaker Amin Dora, whose previous credits sit in the same prestige-drama lane that Cedars Art has built its reputation on.
According to Al Bawaba, the script is written by Mona El-Shimy and the run is planned at 22 to 23 episodes. The story centres on a woman whose unexpected meeting with a powerful, sophisticated man pulls her into a layered psychological drama shaped by social expectations and the weight of the past.Voice of Emirates describes the trailer as opening on that single encounter and tracking how it reshapes both characters' lives.
Pulled from the Ramadan 2026 slate
Cedars Art originally lined Momken up as part of its Ramadan 2026 drama push, which the producer confirmed as a nine-series slate for the season. The company later withdrew the title from that lineup. Per Sada Elbalad, the postponement was attributed to the show's demanding production schedule and a stated wish to finish all technical work before going to air.Al Bawaba reported the same decision, noting the title will now air after Ramadan rather than during the season's drama marathon.
The wider cast
Reporting from Sada Elbalad on the first-look poster lists the supporting players as Zeina Makki, Anjo Rihane, Alan Saadeh, Dali Jou, Rodrigue Sleiman, Marwa Khalil, Roula Hamadeh, George Chalhoub and Malak Kanaan. MBC has already set up an official series page on Shahid, though a confirmed premiere date has not been announced and the platform has so far avoided locking in a window.
Until MBC fixes that date, the conversation around Momken remains anchored to its cast, its director and its delay, rather than to a screen on which viewers can actually press play.
