Ayesha Curry balances life as a chef, author, and mother of four alongside her husband, NBA icon Steph Curry. While Steph is widely regarded as the greatest shooter in basketball history, Ayesha has carved her own path in the culinary world. Her journey includes a recent restaurant closure in May 2026 and a close friendship with Lindsay Lohan that began in Dubai.
Family Life and Career
Born in Ontario, Canada, Ayesha moved to North Carolina at age 14. She initially pursued acting, appearing in the music video for Suga Prince at 12 and later in the film *Love for Sale* (2008) and series *Whittaker Bay*. She first met Steph in a church youth group, a twist of fate given Steph spent his teenage years in Toronto, just 20 miles south of where Ayesha was raised. They reconnected during a Hollywood awards show while Steph attended Davidson College, prompting Ayesha to move to Charlotte to be closer to him.
The couple married on July 30, 2011, requesting donations to ThanksUSA, a non-profit providing scholarships for children of U.S. Armed Forces members, instead of wedding gifts. They are parents to Riley, born July 19, 2012; Ryan, born July 10, 2015; Canon, born July 2, 2018; and Caius, born May 11, 2024. The three eldest children share a July birthday, a tradition their youngest broke when he arrived in May.

Ayesha began gaining recognition by launching a blog and YouTube channel featuring family recipes and lifestyle content. Her television career took off in 2016 with *Ayesha's Home Kitchen* on Food Network. She has since appeared as a judge or host on several programs, including *Chopped Junior*, *Guy’s Grocery Games*, *The Rachael Ray Show*, *Family Food Fight*, and *About Last Night*. Her culinary success extends to publishing, with multiple New York Times bestselling cookbooks such as *The Seasoned Life* (2016) and *The Full Plate* (2020).
She formed a professional friendship with chef Michael Mina, launching a Bay Area pop-up that evolved into International Smoke in 2017. The restaurant closed its doors in May 2026. Through Mina, Ayesha met Lindsay Lohan, with the pair first spending time together in Dubai, where Lindsay resides. Their initial meeting was intended as a brief dinner reservation but extended into an all-night conversation, solidifying a bond that continued to grow in 2024.
