Armstrong Fluid Technology, the Canadian designer and manufacturer of fluid-flow equipment, has appointed Erwan Elias as regional sales manager for the United Arab Emirates, based at the company's Dubai office (per Zawya).
Who Elias is
Elias joins Armstrong with roughly 15 years of experience across HVAC, pump manufacturing and the water industry, according to the company's announcement carried by Gulf Construction Online and Trade Arabia. His background spans sales leadership and customer-relationship roles inside the building-services and fluid-handling sectors that Armstrong's UAE business serves.
What the role covers
In his new position, Elias will oversee sales operations across the UAE, manage key customer relationships and lead revenue growth for Armstrong's portfolio in the country (per Gulf Construction). The company said his remit covers its HVAC systems, fire pumps and district cooling solutions three product lines that are particularly relevant to the UAE's hot climate, rapid construction pipeline and energy-efficiency targets.
Built Environment ME reported that Elias is expected to be 'key to carrying out Armstrong's sales strategies and achieving targets' across its broad range of fluid-flow products in the UAE market (per Built Environment ME).
Why the UAE matters for Armstrong
Armstrong Fluid Technology operates globally from its Toronto headquarters and runs regional facilities across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The Dubai office acts as the company's hub for the UAE and wider GCC, where demand for energy-efficient pumps, intelligent HVAC controls and district cooling has accelerated alongside large-scale real-estate and infrastructure projects (per Armstrong Fluid Technology).
District cooling, in particular, is a strategic growth lane for the company in the Emirates. The UAE has become one of the world's largest district-cooling markets thanks to its building density, climate and sustainability mandates, making it a natural fit for Armstrong's variable-speed pump and integrated-controls products.
Context for the appointment
The appointment is the latest in a series of regional leadership moves by international building-services firms scaling up in the UAE ahead of an expected wave of project awards tied to industrial, hospitality and data-centre construction. Industry trade outlets including GDN Online and Megaproject have framed Elias's hire as a sign that Armstrong intends to push harder on direct customer engagement in the UAE rather than rely solely on distribution partners (per GDN Online, per Megaproject).
Armstrong did not disclose specific revenue targets for the UAE business under Elias.
