Following the positive response to "Welcome to the Jungle," the filmmaker said the success prompted him to team up with the veteran star again. "With Welcome to the Jungle becoming a success, we had to work together again. I am so happy that the film has done well, and the cast is happy too," Khan said.
He added that the duo is currently discussing a handful of concepts. The director mentioned three possible directions – an action comedy, a romantic‑action drama, and an outright action movie – and noted that Akshay Kumar has already shared a script with him. Once a story and schedule are locked, the pair will announce the project.

He clarified that his immediate focus remains on the new film with Akshay Kumar and did not reveal any production house details, simply noting his friendship with the Nadiadwalas.
In parallel, Khan is preparing the release of his home‑produced action entertainer "Baap," which features Mithun Chakraborty, Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff. He said Zee Studios is finalising the release date and marketing, and that the film is slated to hit theatres later this year.
