Advanced air mobility partnership expands UAE capabilities
Under the sponsorship of the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council, the Integrated Transport Centre signed a cooperation agreement with the General Civil Aviation Authority and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office. The deal supports the development of UAE capabilities in certifying, designing and manufacturing advanced air mobility technologies, including electric vertical take‑off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
The collaboration reinforces Abu Dhabi – particularly the Al Ain Region – as a national hub for design certification and testing of advanced aviation technologies. It also aims to build national capacity, attract international expertise and create a unified innovation ecosystem for advanced air mobility that meets the highest international standards.
Collaboration with ADNOC targets autonomous land, sea and air logistics
Also sponsored by the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council, Abu Dhabi Mobility signed an agreement with ADNOC to create a joint framework for developing, testing and scaling smart and autonomous mobility solutions for passengers and goods across land, sea and air. The partnership seeks to improve operational efficiency and connectivity between ADNOC’s onshore and offshore sites and the emirate’s transport system.
As part of the cooperation, the parties will explore autonomous vehicle trials and smart maritime transport for offshore site connectivity. They will also study the application of eVTOL aircraft to link ADNOC locations with future vertiports in Abu Dhabi, promising faster mobility and greater logistical efficiency.
Geospatial platform and unmanned systems agreements boost smart city infrastructure
Abu Dhabi Mobility entered an agreement with Space42 to develop a national geospatial navigation platform. The platform will enhance digital sovereignty by unifying maps and spatial services, delivering accurate real‑time transport data from Intelligent Transportation Systems to improve the mobility experience for residents and visitors.
In a separate deal sponsored by the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council, Abu Dhabi Mobility partnered with Versa Aerospace to advance unmanned and autonomous system solutions across air, land and sea. Leveraging Versa Aerospace’s technical, operational and training capabilities, the collaboration aims to accelerate responsible adoption of unmanned technologies and strengthen the emirate’s overall smart transport framework.
