The Korea International Trade Association and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office co-hosted a webinar today to support Korean companies entering the regional market.
Held on July 7, the "Korea-Abu Dhabi Promising Economic Cooperation Sectors Webinar" provided market trends and business information aligned with the Korea-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement enacted in May. The program included an overview of Abu Dhabi's business environment, entry strategies for advanced manufacturing sectors, and an introduction to the Smart and Autonomous Vehicle Industry cluster.
Onoud Al Marzooqi, Head of Industry Development at ADIO, emphasized opportunities for Korean small and medium-sized enterprises in fields such as electric vehicle supply chains and precision manufacturing. The session aimed to help firms understand local procedures and incentives.
Mobility Hubs and Strategic Partnerships
Ali Al Hashmi, Head of SAVI, introduced key mobility industry hubs in Abu Dhabi, including KEZAD and Masdar City. Duyoun Kim, CEO of Alliance Campus, presented cases of Korean companies collaborating with the Abu Dhabi government on Proof of Concept projects in AI, autonomous driving, and defense.
