The Vvaan is heading to cinemas on September 25, 2026, with a fresh release date and a visually arresting new poster that’s already turning heads online.
Starring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, the film presents itself as an original Indian folklore fantasy universe—complete with its own mythology, symbols, and lore—rather than an adaptation. The poster, shot from a dramatic top-down angle, shows a lone warrior figure flanked by a circling bull and a tiger, hinting at the central clash that shapes the story. Its intricate detail and symbolic weight have sparked widespread discussion across social media.
A world built from scratch
The Vvaan’s mythology was first introduced through The Legend of Vvaan comic book, serving as an entry point into the larger cinematic world the filmmakers aim to build. This latest poster expands on that foundation, offering another glimpse into the scale and ambition of the project.
Directed by Deepak Mishra and written by Arunabh Kumar, the film blends fantasy, action, comedy, and adventure into a large-scale theatrical experience. Manu Anand handles both director of photography and visual direction, with the team emphasizing a visually immersive design meant for the big screen.
Produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R. Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar, and Niraj Kothari, the film marks a collaboration between Balaji Motion Pictures, TVF Motion Pictures, and 11:11 Productions. It’s being positioned as one of the most ambitious original folklore entertainers in recent years.
With the release date now locked and the poster generating strong curiosity, The Vvaan has added fresh momentum to the year’s most anticipated original fantasy films.
