Elevate World will host an online tourism summit today.
Event Overview
The Ministry of Tourism announced that the Elevate World platform will bring together more than 200 tourism leaders from across the Gulf and beyond. The virtual gathering runs from 09:00 to 17:00 Gulf Standard Time and will be streamed via a dedicated portal.
Organisers say the agenda focuses on post‑pandemic recovery, digital marketing trends and sustainable travel experiences. Participants can join live panels, ask questions in real time and access a digital exhibition hall.
The platform integrates live translation in Arabic, English and Mandarin, ensuring smooth communication for a diverse audience. A virtual networking lounge will match attendees based on shared interests.
Key Sessions Planned
Morning speakers include the director of Abu Dhabi’s Department of Tourism, who will outline the emirate’s new visitor‑experience initiatives. A mid‑day panel will examine how artificial‑intelligence‑driven personalization is reshaping booking platforms.
Afternoon sessions will spotlight heritage tourism, with a case study on Saadiyat Island’s cultural attractions, and a round‑table on eco‑friendly resort design led by a senior executive from a leading hotel chain.
A dedicated workshop on contactless payment solutions will demonstrate how the UAE’s cashless vision is being adopted by hotels and attractions, reducing transaction times for visitors.
Industry Participation
More than 30 hotels, airlines and travel agencies have confirmed attendance, among them Etihad Airways and Aldar Hospitality. Several international tourism boards will also present their latest destination campaigns.
Registrants will receive a digital toolkit containing market data, promotional assets and a guide to the UAE’s “Net Zero 2050” tourism commitments.
Start‑up innovators will also pitch their travel‑tech solutions in a rapid‑fire session, giving investors a glimpse of the next generation of tourism services.
Strategic Impact
Elevate World aims to reinforce the UAE’s position as a hub for innovative tourism. By showcasing successful projects and encouraging cross‑border collaboration, the summit supports the “We the UAE 2031” agenda for economic diversification.
Stakeholders expect the event to generate new partnerships that will feed into upcoming projects such as the expansion of Saadiyat Cultural District and the launch of new desert‑luxury resorts.
Organisers anticipate that insights gathered will feed into the upcoming “Operation 300bn” industrial strategy, driving investment into hospitality infrastructure and job creation.
