That Concept Store in Mall of the Emirates will close.
For nearly two decades the two‑storeyed shop has been a playground for fashion lovers, showcasing niche global brands and regional talent. Earlier this year Majid Al Futtaim announced the closure as part of the mall’s massive $1.3 billion luxury renovation.
As Mall of the Emirates enters its next chapter, Majid Al Futtaim will honour THAT’s legacy by delivering a sharper luxury proposition, stronger global brand partnerships, and a truly immersive destination experience.

What could replace the iconic space?
The vacant footprint may become part of the highly anticipated indoor‑outdoor precinct dubbed “The Hangout.” While details are still emerging, the mall’s next chapter promises a sharper luxury proposition and stronger global brand partnerships.
Brands that once filled the store’s shelves ranged from regional names like Bil Arabi and Azza Fahmy to international labels such as Marni, Coperni and Proenza Schouler. The space never lacked room for creativity, mixing prints, patterns and unique collectibles.
Online pivot keeps the vibe alive
Despite the physical shutdown, That Concept Store will continue serving its curated niche audience through e‑commerce. The digital site remains true to the store’s original ethos, offering unique pieces that match creative visions.
Shoppers can also enjoy a massive sale of 25% to 70% off selected items on the website. While the official closing timeline remains under wraps, the brand assures fans that its curated collection is not disappearing.
