When Ben Bandari looked at the United Arab Emirates, he did not just see a place to live or do business. He saw a ready-made stage for one of luxury television's biggest franchises. As executive producer of Million Dollar Listing UAE, Bandari has explained why he believed the country was built for this kind of property spotlight from the very start.
His pitch was simple but ambitious: the UAE already had the towers, the elite brokers and the headline-grabbing estates. All it needed was a platform big enough to show that off to the world.
A Fan First, A Producer Second
Bandari's connection to the show began as a viewer. He watched the original Million Dollar Listing format, understood what made it work, and then asked the obvious question that any luxury-property enthusiast in the Emirates might ask: why not here?
That fan's instinct, he says, is what turned into a mission. The idea crystallised into a single line that became the driving force behind the project.
"I can highlight this country," Ben Bandari
From that thought grew a full showcase of UAE property, built around a nation already famous for striking skylines, record-setting architecture and a premium real estate culture.
Why Dubai And Abu Dhabi Fit The Vision
Dubai already enjoyed global recognition, but Bandari saw a bigger play for the franchise across the wider Emirates. The world's tallest tower, the palm-shaped island and a roster of jaw-dropping addresses gave the country a backdrop worthy of a serious international property series.
Crucially, the concept was never meant to stop at one city. Abu Dhabi fit the vision too, because the UAE story stretches beyond a single skyline. Bandari wanted a programme capable of putting Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the country's luxury property scene into one high-impact package.
The Executive Producer Behind The Flex
Stepping up as executive producer of Million Dollar Listing UAE was as much a business decision as a creative one. Bandari saw that being part of the franchise could promote the country while raising his own profile at the same level.
"I can really promote Dubai, Abu Dhabi, the UAE," Ben Bandari
That line gives the whole project its headline mission. For Bandari, the show was always about more than glossy homes. It was about elite brokers, a country ready for a property television glow-up, and a chance to put the Emirates' real estate game on a larger entertainment stage.
The Ingredients Were Already There
Part of what made the concept feel ready-made, Bandari argues, is that the UAE already had the raw material that the Million Dollar Listing brand demands.
- Some of the most accomplished brokers in the world.
- High-value deals and billionaire-style listings.
- Sleek towers and waterfront mansions.
- A skyline with the visual currency a loud luxury franchise needs.
The properties were in place, the brokers were in place, and the country already carried the kind of premium appeal that translates instantly to the screen.
A Showcase For The Emirates
Million Dollar Listing UAE exists, in Bandari's telling, because he recognised what the country already had and believed it belonged on a bigger platform. His vision pulled together luxury property, national promotion, elite brokerage culture and business instinct into one polished television package.
Dubai was already on the map. Bandari's aim was to amplify that map for Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the UAE as a whole.
